tranfer email messages from outlook express to gmail

hi
can anyone advise how i go about transferring my present, and any future, email messages from outlook express to gmail?.have tried a couple of times but failed miserably. any references to website(s) which could also guide me would be appreciated.

now able to transfer all messages from gmail to outlook express, but i wish to transfer all messages from outlook express to gmail and cannot do thisdespite following instructions. its probably my fault.
can anyone help

As Barry Scott advised, there's no way of 'transferring' them en masse in the same way that you would download from gmail to Outlook Express.You simply have to forward the ones you want to the gmail address so they're stored on the gmail server.
