Edinburgh PCN, Please advise!

Hi all I am hoping someone will be ale to help I have searched the forums and can't find an answer to my question.
I was issued with a pcn for apparently parking on a double red line, I was in a designated parking space and there was remnants of snow on the road, I was barely 1cm on the red line if even that causing no obstruction on the road because I was in such a rush the warden was printing the ticket off he just handed it to me even though I did try to press him to explain why he felt it neccessary to issue a ticket for this non offence in my eyes he just gave me the ticket and left, I have requested they send me photographic evidence of the car parked to prove the apparent contravention and received an email today saying the following:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for your e mail of 16 February 2009.

There were no photographs taken in this instance because the driver returned to the vehicle. If the motorist returns (as in this case )the Attendant may not have had time to take photographs and will proceed with the service of the parking ticket.

Photographs are of assistance when determining the reason for a parking ticket having been issued, however they are not essential as there is no legal obligation on a parking authority to provide photographic evidence.

Here is the view of the double red line, my car was barely on the red line. Any advice on if I can contest thanks everyone!
