littlewoods and xbox.can anyone help?

i wasnt sure where to put this but thought i would see if anyone knew if there was anything i could do.
last saturday i ordered an xbox from littlewoods and it stated that it was in stock.
i got an order confimation saying it would be here in 7 days.
just got a call saying that it isnt in stock and people have been waiting since november for theirs.
i.e.they knew there werent any stocks.
the item is still listed as in stock on their webpage.
do i have any legal rights here?they have said it will be available mid january if i want to wait,but it was for christmas and i wouldnt have even ordered it had it not been 7 day delivery.

no how you feel ordered in oct >:( got fed up with getting fobbed off and cancelled it a couple of weeks ago they did say they were getting more stock @ 13th dec. but like hell am I waiting! went to argos instead got it straight away! ::)**************************************
