Title pretty much says it all really!
I have some dried yeast which is open but I haven't had in the fridge, it is nearing its Best before date. Do you know if it would still work if I make some bread?
Many thanks!

What you could try is to make your bread on the dough setting, then watch the bread rising at intervals, and then set the machine to bake when it's risen enough.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Test a little of it in warm water with a little sugar added and see if it builds up a "Fizz" first???The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0

I use yeast after its date, but then I do keep it in the fridge. Mr Ps idea to test it sounds good.0

We bought a bread machine a few months ago and didn't realize the yeast we were using (Allinsons) was quite a few months out of date. Perfect results every time! Not sure exactly what is in it (what is yeast exactly? An enzyme?) but it rose beautifully to every occasion!0
