Hi.
i recently got hold of a programme called 'handbrake' that converts my fave dvds to mp4 format, and they can be watched in itunes,
i have a new computer so am in process of transferring all music from old one etc so that i can update my ipod to the new computer.
however....... i have done all that, and i am currently syncing it and it has told me that none of my moives are beng transferred to the ipod cos they wont play in it.
it's an ipod video 160gig and i got it so that i could have all my movies on there, and tv shows etc, because i travel a lot and it's very handy to have for the long periods one must spend in airport lounges!
so. any suggestions ? itunes support website is useless and the itunes application is giving me no clues except 'wont' 'cant' 'you cant make me' kind of thing!
any tips would be much appreciated. thanks!!
oh, and movies wont open in tunes unless they are in the correct format, so i know that they have converted correctly, plus i tried to 'create apple tv version' (right click on the movie in itunes and select that option) to see if would make a difference but it said 'movie not converted because it is already in the correct format'.
my ipod plays podcasts of you tube stuff and music videos no problem.

Just because a movie plays in iTunes, it does not mean that it's the correct format for your iPod.
Did you use one of the iPod presets in HandBrake? If not, you might give that a try.0
