Local grants/charities for students

Check your local library for charities that help students. I live in Kent and a local trust gives £400 a year for students going to university providing you live in the correct postcode and can convince the trustees that you are hard working. It is not means tested either.
Good luck people - why not post the names/contact details for any that you find?

Not really needing a hardship fund, mainly looking to get some travel expenses to be honest (it's my other half that's at Uni) and it costs an absolute fortune on petrol costs ect... could be even more soon, Leeds Uni could be bekoning.
Yeah, I'll let ya know what I come up with.0 -
The trust that I applied to is called the Barrow Trust for people living in the Parish of Borden in Kent. Hope that helps someone!0
