  • Be careful crossing the roads. Madness!
Don't visit the House of Terror if you don't want nightmares.

I enjoyed the castle district - use the funicular.

Try the local food - The Sailor Inn was an experience!!

    Things to do:

Buda Castle: I would recommend you to do a nice walk on the streets of the hill from Becsi Kapu until the Castle. It's a good 20 minutes walk, but the old littel streets and houses, and the other sights are worth to see as well. Other way is to walk through the Chain Bridge and then go up to the Castle with the funicular.
House of Parliament: One of the biggest parliamentary building in the world. The building can be seen on guided tours. For more info: http://www.parlament.hu/guide/guide.htm
St. Stephen's Basilica: Beautiful church. Don't miss the cupola visit.
Cittadella on the Gellert Hill: It offers great views of both Buda hill and Pest side of the city. http://www.citadella.hu/
Baths: I suggest Szechenyi or Gellert Bath. http://www.spasbudapest.com/.
Sightseeing cruise on the Danube. http://www.mahartpassnave.hu/
  • Went to Budapest in June last year, you can pretty much walk round the place.

Also try the cakes out there - they were amazing. I would go back just for them.

The baths, take time out for them - its a lovely way to spend an afternoon - dont forget your bathing suit. Bear in mind though on the single sex days for the baths most people walk round naked - avoid those days if you dont feel comfortable.
Some places dont supply you with towels so check beforehand.

    Enjoy your break. PP
