  • I've also dealt with them many times over the years, and although contacting them and returning things could be easier, I still use them because they are no worse than many others, and certainly competitive on price, and show real-time stock levels.

Descriptions can leave a lot to be desired, and there are too frequent reports of customers receiving the wrong item - sometimes just the wrong colour, sometimes a modem instead of a video card!

The poor feedback on the site often comes down to problems with City Link deliveries which are apparently variable (no such problems with the Worcester area - well done chaps!).

Also, be aware that they have discontinued technical support by phone - it's all eNotes (or something) and they are a nightmare.

Ebuyer is just CHEAP - So its an obvious place people want to buy from.

However, if you ever have a problem or need to return something, you might as well forget it as it's a nightmare. There aftersales and customer service is !!!!!! - Infact it's virtually non-existent!

Maybe if we all complained they might actually employ some more staff : complaints@ebuyer.co.uk ;)
  • I've never had any probs with ebuyer - although I heard returning Items is a pain

There's a lot of complaints about ebuyers service record when something goes wrong. I think it is very telling that they have removed their telephone number from their site and hidden their address in the terms and conditions. I would buy something small from them but I would be rather worried about spending more than £100. That having been said I've never had any problems with ebuyer touch wood. However just because they sell things cheap does not entitle them to give poor customer service.

I have to agree to a certain extent. My hubby uses them a lot, they are a pain if there is a problem, but they are so much cheaper, that for him anyway, the benfits outweigh the risks. He has always got his goods exchanged or refunded - eventually - and every time he has a problem, he swears he wont use them again, but then as the song goes "money money money" , cash always wins thru in the end and he goes back!!

His average orders are 100-300 btw

Seeing as this is an online discount voucher board and not ebuyer's feedback forum, I gather no one has any discounts then lmao.
