Ordinary Euro Current Account

I'm an expat looking for a Euro account either off-shore or mainland UK. I contacted the bank I have a sterling account with, Cater Allen (Santander), but amazingly because I have a European address I cannot open a Euro account!
All I want is a bog-standard Euro current account, on-line or otherwise, does anyone have any recommendations please?

I wonder if cash withdrawal from one of the handful of UK (London) cashpoints they list would qualify. Would they dispense Euros or Pounds?Egg wrote:Offer exclusive to Egg customers. UK residents only. Spend criteria includes both cash withdrawals and purchases from the account.0
