ok,what happens now???

i sold a pram on ebay about a month ago.

the buyer now contacts me, saying the bar has "gone" on the front seat, the company that sells it say it costs £70 to fix.

this pram was immaculate when i sold it, i had only used it once!! it cost £450 but the buyer bought it for £140

the buyer had an half an hour demonstration, she informed me she was a "fussy buyer!"
there was no problem at all with the pram, i am 100% sure of that.

now the buyer says she will be contacting ebay to complain?

i dont know what to advice her, if there really is a problem with the pram it was surely her that caused it.

any advice?

kind regards

Yeah - don't worry about it. A month later...? They're trying it on.

They still got a bargain even with the repair cost. Don't lose any sleep.

its ridiculous really, she loved the pram when she viewed it and collected it.

i felt like i gave it away at that price, but the smile on her face made it worth it, only to get this depressing e-mail.
  • Did she pay cash on collection?

I echo the post above, how did buyer pay and exactly how long ago..over 45 days or before 45 days?

How come you spent £450 on a pram and only used it once?? Did you sell it on not long after buying? Do you have the original receipt? If it's less than a year old, and you have the receipt, then give it to her, and tell her to claim a free repair stating the Sale of Goods act!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • my dad surprised me and bought me a twin pram so i did not need two.

i only used the pram to test which one i preferred, i sold the one my dad bought as it was more bulky than the one i bought!!

my dad says it is fine, i could sell it on, i listed it on ebay.

she collected it, was happy after viewing it for half an hour. she paid cash..

its been about 30 days now

what do i do? what shall i say to the buyer?

If she paid cash it's tough to her. Ebay won't care.
  • Yep I agree, if she paid cash there is no chance of a paypal claim and Ebay won't be able to make you pay up.

Just email her and tell her that the pram had only been used once and as the problem was not there when you sold it to her, you will not consider a refund.

You might want to remind her how much this pram costs brand new :)

Isn't stuff on ebay at buyers risk seeing it's an auction?
