I am not familiar with that make.

With a pressure system there is a pressure expansion vessel usually in the boiler that has a membrane inside with an amount of compressed air on one side of the membrane.

As the water heats up and expands it further compresses the air and keeps the overall pressure roughly the same.

We had the same problem that you have in erratic boiler pressure and then losing all the pressure and was told that it needed depressurising with an air pump through the Schroeder type valve that was on the vessel.

We took the bull by the horns and gave it about 8/9 strokes with a car foot pump and have had no further trouble since.

I would advise you to try and get a second opinion, and wish you the best of luck.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
