I think that Dreamnine was already talking about Internet Radio on his phone - for example Nokia n Series with WiFi have a built in Internet Radio. Plus one is installable for iPhone and iPod Touch. Advantage of a pure software phone is that it's guaranteed upgradeable to any new internet radio standards/codecs.0

Sorry, but the idea of playing radio (maybe even speech radio) through a phone-sized speaker is an exercise in cruelty to ears!0

Which is why I pipe mine thru to a large speaker when not using earphones.
Mine clips to a belt so I can use it around the home like an MP3 player - earphones better then speakers anyway and don't disturb others.0
