I did read somewhere of a smart-alec who "got" away with it because he proved in Court that the lines on the road, which were straight lines parallel with each other were incorrect.
He claimed that as the road was on a curve then the lines on the road should have been at an angle to each other, rather like the spokes on a wheel. Therefore any speed calculation based on the parallel lines would not be correct.0
