Reclaim PPI - Guernsey

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if any of you know if I can reclaim PPI on a personal loan from HSBC, living in Guernsey.

Also, this loan is now being repaid through a DMP set up by my local CAB, and due to assistance from a relative I am in the process of trying to negotiate a full & final settlement of the account.

Any information would be a great help.

As far as I know you can still reclaim, unless someone confirms otherwise.

You could check this link out here for further information on mis selling of ppi, there is also a letter template, but try to write in your own words if possible, they have 8 weeks to respond in full.
Post by recorded delivery, and another letter maybe required until you exhaust the complaint procedures, where they will give you a final response, if your not satisfied when you receive the final response they should also enclose other ways on how you can complaint, such as the financial ombudsman service, not too sure if this will be exactly the same procedures where you live though, so I am hoping someone will post to clarify this, but you will soon find out from the finance company who should disclose this to you.

Hi Everyone,

Some good news, I finally heard back from HSBC a week past Thursday offering me just under £9k in full and final settlement of my complaint against them, this included nearly £2k of interest. I accepted their offer and the money was in my account on Tuesday!!!
