Hi - can anyone help?
My husband has a companyand through it he pays himself. Last autumn he finished his contract (he's an ITconsultant) finished and has been having trouble finding a new contract. The money will run out next month, so we are in a quandry as to know what to do. He can'tclaim benefits as he has a company, but we can't live on thin air either! Obviously he is frantically looking for more work, but as yet, nothing has materialised. He has worked all his life since leaving uni 25 years ago, and paid all his taxes, and NI.
I don't work,as I am disabled (I have MS), and apart from my DLA we have no other income.
Any ideas?

I've always worked as a consultant, but usually through an agent. I'm no expert, but would it make sense for his company to cease trading, so that he's eligible for benefits???0 -
