I currently get dla lower rate for my 3 year old because of severe eczema. I was looking to see if I could get any help paying for his eczema pjs, allergy bedding etc. I saw the family fund but that is for severly disabled children.
I am a single parent on income support, any advice would be fab thank you.

I think you probably would be able to apply. The website gives information on who is eligible - it varies depending upon where you live.

Yes it is. After reading a few old threads on here I was beginning to regret posting! It is mainly because eczema clothing is so expensive but works wonders so I desperately want to get him so more.0

Don't regret posting! You are the kind of person who the Family Fund was set up for - you have a disabled child and a low income.
I only did my first claim last year after my husband died and my income dropped dramatically. Having got the award last week I am so glad I did and I would encourage any parent who is eligible to apply and ignore the people who for some reason think having a disabled child is a passport to riches :mad:0 -
It can be very disabling my son has very mild eczema on the back of his knees which can be very sore, it weeps and becomes infected because he won't leave it alone. Luckily it rarely flares up to live with it over a large area and all the time must be stressful and difficult.Barclaycard 3800

Thank you all so much, I appreciate that. I might phone them tomorrow and ask a few questions. Thanks again.0

Hello hayleynicole,
I'd suggest you contact the welfare rights service, they are normally part of your county council.
Not only do they help with all the all the usual benefits stuff, but they can help you put together an application for the family fund, so you can get the best out of it.
Many WR offices have a person to specialise in these type of applications.
Good luck,
