    Exactly - I saw pianos with start prices of like £50 but when they sold the reserves had been around £500! I would have been wasting my time and missing out on other auctions I could afford.

    Personally I prefer just starting the auction at the minimum I am willing to accept so in this case it would be £200. It also works out cheaper that way if the item doesn't sell.
