Wanted - cottage(s) in South Wales to sleep 20ish for a weekend

Where do I look? We want to do a girlie weekend on the (very) cheap. I'm struggling a bit to find places with a couple of cottages together. Can anyone give me any pointers? Thank you :o

  • No idea Im afraid....but don't suppose you need a chaperone for the 20 girls?

If you plan on going out of season, I believe you can hire the Youth Hostel at Port Eynon on the Gower. They do (or at least used to) do private rentals when the hostel was closed to individuals over the Winter. It's right on the beach.
Alternatively, I have used this website in the past, prices range tremendously between the properties though, so you'd need to trawl through:

if you are coming on a weekend then the rooms at the Urdd centre in Cardiff Bay can be hired. Each room is ensuite, sleeps up to 6 and is right in the centre of Cardiff Bay, just a short walk or bus/train journey to the centre of Cardiff

You will have to contact them directly to make enquiries/book as they do not directly advertise that they use their facility as a hostel - it's a welcome side income for them rather than something they actively pursue.

avoid June when the youth eisteddfod is on in the bay as you won't stand a chance of getting a room. 6 Nations weekends are also likely to be busy if Wales has a home game

Ha ha, sadly not but thanks for the offer!
  • Google camping barns in the area- that'll be your cheapest option. The YHA one is a good idea too.

This one could be less than £30 a head
