Mine are about the same £-wise for Nov, Dec, Jan with Southern Electric:
Gas - 300 units
£170 ish
Elec - 1200 units
£100 ish
That's for a 3 bed semi, double glazed. Little loft insulation though!
You seem to be paying about half the rates - what companies are you with?0 -
I've got a 4 bed detached bungalow with large kitchen, utility room and dining room. My heating, water and cooker are gas, everything else electricity, I've just received a letter today saying my monthly gas dd is going up to £61, and my electricitiy is £51 p/m. Is this normal, or higher/lower than average??0

I'm with powergen.
What do you mean about half the rates?
I'm in a 3 bed detached, cavity insulated and also loft done a couple of years ago. fairly new combi boiler and mainly energy saving lightbulbs.
i'd like to lower it but I'm not sure what else to do! I do one load of washing a day, but only use a tumble dryer about once a week, and I've not long had a new A rated washing machine.0 -
The Uswitch site seems to indicate an average 3-bed usage of both G&E per year of between about £650-750 (based on current prices).
I'd say you're both reasonably on target there, given that summer gas and electric consumption will be much lowerIt's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -

It looks like the OP has a metric gas meter and you have an Imperial meter. So your 300 units are equivalent to approx 861 of the units she is using.
Her 720 units cost £161, your 861(300) units cost £170ish.0 -
Thanks for that, I'm average then!!
Would like to cut down a bit, have to see waht I can do, have started changing our ways, but won;t see how much its saved us until the next bill.
Cheers!!0
