Most effective food for a laurel hedge

Planted a laurel hedge 2 years ago in front garden as the neighbour opposite parks their transit van directly outside my house and i find it unsightly, the hedge is thickening up nicely, but could do with another 2-3 feet of growth to hide the van completely.

Any recommended plant foods to give the hedge a boost?

Nitrogen for leaves/green growth. Plenty of choice in the shops.

Or.. improvise. Fishwater, grass cuttings, pee, nettles, weeds are all full of nitrogen.

Read yesterday that they should be well watered and fed with seaweed extract from Maxicrop.
