Partition Wall - How much?

Hi guys

Need to get a partition wall built to re-seperate two bedrooms.

Wall would be approx 8ft x 8ft with no doors/windows.

Any idea of the cost of getting this done?

I divided a room a few years ago - pretty much same size wall with no windows or doors. The builder that did it charged about £2k but that also included fitting a small window to one of the new rooms.

Sorry - that included plastering as well so wasnt very much at all.

I had the same job done last year, the joiner seperated 2 bedrooms,


Cost:
Erect wood stud frame inc materials : £85.00

Insulate stud framework: £40.00

plasterboard supply fit and skim with plaster £95.00

supply and fit new skirting board £20.00

Total £240.00
I thought that was quite reasonable that was an average from a few different quotes the most expensive being £750.00

i did my own for about 120 quid in materials.
skimming the PB was extra but came with another job done at the same time.

I spoke to a mate of a mate and he said £320 including skimmed on both sides?

Sound about right?

To be honest thinking of just getting the wall up first and then my mate will sort out moving the electrics and heating. Once he's done that I'll get the whole room plastered (if need be)
