Cost of repairs??
Hi,
I hope someone here can advise whether Kwik-Fit is reasonable in asking for £618 for the following:
They have my N reg Saab 900 2 litre in for service. I know the service was £150.
I also need new exhaust - apparently the back part is ripped.
The front brakes needs discs and pads, the back ones only pads.
New windscreen wipers needed as well.
Alignment is out and need sorting.
Now I know they are not making these up - all these things I know are wrong with the car (my exhaust you can hear miles away).
The question is - is £618 for the lot far too much? That is including the service.
Thank you

Kwik Fit telling you that all the things wrong with your car are things they can fix:D .
Almost anywhere is better than the quick fix chains for a service (too late for you now)
Can anyone recommend you a local garage?
How do you know it needs pads and disks and wheel alignment?0 -
Because I can feel the brakes for some months now (I only drive a little - 8 mls a day) and they haven't been done for 4 years.
When you are driving straight and let off the steering wheel the car doesn't continue straight - you constantly have to adjust the direction. I also was in the car when hubby run onto a kerb... And it wasn't a light touch, I tell you.0 -
Do you have a breakdown of what they want to charge for each element as some bits may be Ok and others a rip off?0
