Help needed with washing machin

Hi we have a Diplomatic integrated washing maching 8512. It started not to spin very well last week so we pulled it out and cleaned the filter, whilst doing this we noticed a small leak on the pipes so replaced the washing machine hoses and connections. Now replaced and the machine is back in place but when I put it on a cycle the machine starts filling up and won't stop. Does anyone know if there is a easy solution to fix this or if I have done something daft?
Many thanks with any help.

Hi
Sounds like the solenoid that meters the water into the drum has failed, when you select your programme it gets a signal to open a valve which allows water into the drum it should then should shut after about 20/30 secs in yor case it appears not to be doing that.
you are prob looking at the best part of £50 if this is the problem.0 -
