As Premier advises, it is good to check comparison websites for the best deal.

Just for information the E.ON Track and Save tariff is a dual fuel or single gas product. It is guaranteed to be cheaper than British Gas standard bills until 1 May 2010.

It is for customers whose consumption is above Ofgem's annual average levels. These are 20500 kWh for gas and 3300 kWh for unrestricted electricity.

For Economy 7 meters the levels are 2970 kWh (day) and 3630 kWh (night).

The product is only available for standard or economy 7 electricity meters.

If the gas is supplied through an Independent Gas Transporter (IGT) rather than the National Grid there will be a charge for this. The charge will be £42 per year paid quarterly.

There are no daily standing charges. Only fuel used is charged for.

Tesco Clubcard points are available. One point is awarded for every pound spent.

Payment can be made with a monthly Fixed Direct Debit. Alternatively, payment can be made quarterly by cash, cheque or with a Variable Direct Debit.

Discounts of up to 8 per cent apply for taking both fuels and paying with a monthly Fixed Direct Debit.

There are no tie-ins with this product. You can switch at any time without penalty.
