No, I'm afraid Cyprus won't really be hot enough. Morocco will be hot enough but again, you may not feel this is really the place to go with your pregnant wife - will try and come up with something else!

  • Hi clats,

We went to Jamaica and Cuba when I was pregnant - both were good as none of the nasties or jabs, and reasonable health infrastructure to fall back on just in case.

Not sure whether it fits your budget, but that part is up to you!

Good luck with the baby and the holiday,

I feel sure that several vaccinations are recommended for both destinations.

My first thought when reading the OP's initial query was to suggest what richardw already has, see if you can get a last minute cheapie to one of the Cape Verde islands.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions. We went to Jamaica on honeymoon and loved it but dnt think its in budget (we definatly didnt have any jabs etc to go there). Maybe Cape Verde would fit the bill I have heard good and bad about the place ie weather good but the place is a bit of a building site !!! Anyone with any experience first hand of the islands ?

Have a read through the dedicated Cape Verde forums and the hotel reviews on Trip Advisor.

  • I would recomend sal, cape verde. Stay at the morabeeza hotel. First class and hot. If you like water sports you quids in. Check out private lets on sites like homelidays or overseas property, good value at the mo becuase they are still relitively unknown destinations.
