Signed up for SP - house move?

Hi,

I signed up with Scottish Power Gas & Electricity last August. What would happen if I moved houses? Does the contract go with me or does it just expire? Or will I even be charged a penalty if I leave them?

Thanks.

Check t&c for your particular tariff on their website. With most tariffs, you just give notice and take on the existing supplier at your new house. If you are on a fixed or capped tariff, there may be a penalty for leaving early but I have a feeling SP don't do this for a house move.

The contract you have is for the house you are in. If you moved house you would be supplied by whoever supplies that house (may not be SP). That doesn't mean you couldn't move to them and they may let you bring your tariff to your new house (if you wnat to)

I think as a BG employee you will be in the clear with this post given Martin's latest ruling;)
The rules have always been simple, if you are engaged in a discussion where you work for a company involved, then you should mention it. However it shouldn't be in your signature as it is only for relevant posts.
