Hi all
Quick help needed from some people more technically minded than me!
I bought a game labelled PC DVD-ROM and bought it, thinking as my laptop is pretty new it would be fine..
When I got home and tried it, it was very slow and didnt seem to be responding very well. I checked the back of the case and in very small letters at the bottom it says 'laptop versions of these video cards are not supported'.
Is there anyway around this as I don't have a PC, just a laptop...can't find my receipt now so don't think I can even take it back! Typical!
Thanks

What is your video card, and what game is it, what are the min and recommended specs on the back of the game?0
-
It says on the back :
Video Card - 32mb direct 3D 7.0 Compliant video card
and I have no idea how to find out what mines is...? It's a pretty new laptop, didn't think I would have this problem
Also, the game itself works alright, it's just very slow and unresponsive and seems to 'freeze'.
Thanks

If its a old game there might be a patch out for it have a look on google.0

Click on the start menu, go to my computer, right click on it, go to properties and it should tell you there when the window pops up. Are you in vista??0

Doesnt say anything about a video card there... Yeh I'm on Vista and it's a brand new game, as in just released. So annoyed at myself for not checking the box but I hardly buy these things and the writing is so small you can hardly see it anyway!
Checked in control panel - under 'sound, video and game controllers' it just says 'high definition audio device'. ?

asininity you are being such a good help thanks so much - but I have no idea how to find the graphics card? Maybe my laptop isn't as good as I thought it was lol!
edited: ok, tried to download what you posted and it came up with an option to use web service to find the correct program or choose from the list...
