staples 10% nus still active?

hi, i visited staples just before christmas and gave them a nus card to entitle me to a 10% student discount off my total bill.

i was told by the manager that staples no longer offered a nus discount to students until the beginning of the new year.

anyone know if they have started to give 10% off to students again?

lies. my staples in beckton gave me 10% off in december.

I didnt know they accepted NUS but I had a Staples student discount card given to me at my freshers fair. It had an expiry date of 31st Jan 2006.

I don't like the way you need a NUS card to get student discounts. Not all students join the National Union of Students, and you shouldn't have to to get 10% off.

when i tried to buy bits for my pc a few months back (scanner, printer, other odds and sods), i was told at the till that they no longer offered student discount...so i walked off at left it all with the cashier and took my custom elsewhere (and got it even cheaper still )
