Which bank account?

OP, I do not believe milford's experience is representative of how hard it is to get a halifax current account. i got one at 18 with no history (apart from my children's account) and he has over 60 (or is it 62 now?) credit searches in 12 months and a fraud marker on his file. Not the typical credit file, I'd say.
I actually agree with you, as you know i'm no role model here LOL
I made a decision to get the incorrect fraud (cifas) marker removed and not to apply for a year so everything drops off (or is it 6mth that they look back at?)....
However, so long as i've got this incorrect linked address on my equifax there is nothing I can do. I have to take legal action and really can't be bothered with it all so i've decided to wait 5yrs til it all drops off on its own unless they pursue me (for someone elses debt)....
But I dont like hfx cos my file was empty in November - this link has been a nightmare and to be honest I think it was Hbos that done it thus maybe they think i'm someone else thus they'll never give me an account (proper bank account) until I prove to them i'm not the same guy!
May go in with passport so they can compare them and discount me as different person which will mean the link should go..... then I'll wait a year and should have clear file with good history due to my HSBC?Vanquis/Catalogues....Some say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

Overdraft is important, as I do go overdrawn some months....
Also, I prefer to do as much as my banking online, as I can.0 -

HSBC then, they are still one of the best and cheapest if you select Advance account. Also their online system is good, you can even apply for a loan at atm in branches lol. amazing!
They have, unlike hbos etc, live messaging so you can send secure account related messages once logged in which is a godsend if you need a quick reply (slowest I got was 2 days)Some say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

Is it too obvious to suggest that you change from a paid for account to a free account with your existing bank?
