Orijen is fab I give that to my Bengals along with the raw diet. Royal Canin is a good food as is James wellbeloved. I agree with the poster who said to keep the pups food that the breeder has been feeding. Too many people feed their pets cheap rubbish and yes thats their choice but the better quality the food the better your pets health.
  • They are brilliant dogs aren't they? We lostour old boy at the beginning of December and I cried for nearly a week. Had a few tears this week once decision made about taking on the pup out of guilt and god knows what!

Our old boy was a stocky big chested lad, and he did cost us a few pennys due to he was a clumsy oaf and he has something called nickulitues we had to keep keep treating!

Thanks for the advice, I looked on animal friends website last night and like the look of their cover!

  • Anyone fancy rescueing a dobe? This very underweight lad is in the local rescue/pound - and is only ten months old... was found as a a stray and needs training, as he is very bouncy - no prizes for guessing how much commitment his original owners had then :-(

I forgot to say that we have a Chocolate brown Dobie in our rescue as we speak :D
  • That is appalling! Poor little mite, you just wanna cuddle (and feed) him!

Our Dobe was brilliant with cats, when he and my partner moved in he was 2 and my two cats were about same age, bit of hissing and spitting but within weeks they were all quite happy and in fact all three used to sleep on the bed curled up together.

In fact since we lost our Dobe the one cat we still have has been pining we think - or gone senile!

Incredible, never fails to shock me how humans can be so very cruel and unfeeling.
