Hello world,
I have two computers at home, both using Vista..
I know the basics of setting up a folder for sharing and can access
various folders from both machines in both directions...
However, On one computer I have an external usb drive used to back up photos.. I cannot get a connection to the usb drive from my 2nd pc..
I have ticked all the boxes regarding sharing, but still cannot get access.
The drive shows on the map of network locations but when I click on the icon I get a message saying that "USB backup is available but the user account you are logged on with was denied access" I dont use any passwords and any settings for this drive should be the same as for the folders that I can access ....
any clues anyone ??????
thanks
