If anyone is around the West Midlands i can really recommend the airforce Museum at RAF Cosford - plenty to see and do for kids old and young.

The vue and odeon cinemas have a kids club screening, usually about 11am. Its only £1.70/£2.50 for kids and adults go free. The Vue is screening Inkheart and Odeon Madagascar 2 (at least in my area).0
