WARNING! About Tesco £9 Deal

afternoon, I went instore to get us a couple of those Tesco Finest £9 meal deals, and they had put up non-finest desserts across the top shelf of the promotional bit, alongside the last few finest desserts. Upon leaving the store I sensed that something was amiss and double checked my receipt. It had TESCO £9 deal offer written on it -£6.14, but that was only for one deal, the other one that I belived that I had bought didn't go through as I had picked up one of the non-Finest items. After much palaver ("no, sir, that's the total discount for 2 meals") I finally managed to drag the manager to the shelves to point out the non-finest puddngs, and then re-scan the items with a different pudding.
SO - make sre you only pick up FINEST items from the promo shelves, no matter what Tesco's have placed there, AND make sure you double check your receipts. If I hadn't re-checked my reciept about 3 times I would have lost about 6 quid.
Bad Tesco! Guess it's my own fault for going there!
But i got my own back by putting all the most expensive items from the 2 sets back through when he was giving me the refund, so I probably made an extra 2 or 3 quid back off them. HA!

You should have got £12 odd back as double the difference so I think they got away with that unfortunately!0

Bit cheeky though, because the wine they're offering with the deal isn't from the Finest range.0

Again, no surprise, last time the offer was on it said "any bottle of wine" but then had restrictions enforced by those bastions of tradings standards - Tesco CS staffMissing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Three whites and no reds were all that were on offer at my local Fiesco.:DNever argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0

I check my receipt from ANY supermarket. For some reason my local Morrison supermarket never seem to cover the old barcode properly on reduced pizzas, so I am frequently charged the full price, whereas other reduced items scan properly. My local Tesco seem to have become a lot better at not overcharging than they were 18 months ago. I still check though - just in case! :rotfl:Thanks to all who post constructively.
Have an A1 day!0 -
I checked my receipt when I got home!!!
I had been charged £2.60 for johnsons baby lotion instead of £1 promotion really annoyed I got to go back and yet again complain!!!
And after reading other thread being charged extra to use clubcard vouchers I think I will be knocking tesco on the head!!I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0 -

Trust me, having had 6 bottle of that opened in front of me (my mum is a red wine drinker...something about being good for you...yeah-right-whatever) and out of those 6 bottles, 4 have been 'off'.
A wine is off when it tastes of vinegar, is corked of the wind-off lit "pops" off (or should I say flies off) when opened.
I think your safer with a non finest wine IMHO!0 -
I had a similar problem last week when I picked up a mushroom filo pastry pie (which someone had dumped there) and not the cheese filo pastry pie it should have been.
I spotted it at work the following day, so stopped off on the way home to complain. I expected them to say it was the wrong pie and I was going to suggest I buy the correct one for £3 ish and they give me my £9 ish back (which was the overcharge, not DTD).
Anyway, the SA went off to investiagte and came back. After a load of punching on a calculator decided she owed me £52. OK Thank you very much Mr T.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100
