I am going to Vegas in a couple of weeks and was wondering whether I should use travellers cheques, a debit card or credit card.

Most ATMs charge about $1 - $3 per transaction plus there are daily limits on withdrawals. Your best bet is a mixture of US dollar travellers + small amount of cash. Most taxis can't take travellers chqs so you'll need some cash to pay them.
Build up a wedge of dollar bills too for tips !Like a priceless jewel buried in dark layers of soil and stone, earth radiates her brilliant beauty into the caverns of space and time.

I thought travellers cheques had more or less died out.
To keep it simple, I draw money out of the ATM on arrival and use that for small purchases/costs/tips etc.
Everything else (food, hotels and other larger amounts) go straight onto my credit card.
That way, there's no need to worry about currency before you arrive somewhere, no need to carry lots of cash around with you at any time and no hassle dealing with travellers cheques.0 -
If you have time, get a Nationwide Flex account, you get free withdrawals abroad then!
