Income Protection

Hi,
Dual question really...
1. I have income protection which will pay out in the event of being made redundant etc.. I have just received a letter saying my direct debits will be increasing because the company has been forced to pay out a lot recently (no !!!!)... are they able to actually do this, when I am not getting anything more for my money...
Part of me thinks yes, it's like the gas company upping their prices, but part of me thinks no because I agreed a contract..
2. I may consider moving to another company, can anyone recommend some decent income/mortgage protection schemes?
Thanks
Chris

Yes they are. Unless you paid for guaranteed premiums then they can change them as the terms allow.but part of me thinks no because I agreed a contract..
You did agree a contract but it has reviewable premiums.2. I may consider moving to another company, can anyone recommend some decent income/mortgage protection schemes?
Nobody knows anything about you or what type of cover you want and the terms you want or if you prefer cheap and likely to refuse or more expensive and likely to pay out.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
