Got a problem with my mothers cooker, the oven will only burn low when you turn it up it does not make any difference. Its a new world apex 500, anyone got any idea what could be wrong and if its fixable?

Get a RGI out to look at it.0

Ovens usually have a temperature probe (called a flame failiure device) next to the flame so that if the oven doesn't light or the flame goes out, it limits the gas flow. There is also usually one just inside the door at the top.
Once the probe hits a higher temperature, it allows the gas flow in increase, upto the level you have set.
It sounds like the probe has broken, or come loose. I would get it checked out by a professional.

Any idea of a cost?0

It depends what is broken, if its the probe, it could be £20, if the valve is gone, that could be anywhere from £50 -> £200 before labour. Sometimes it may need just a good clean, its not worth messing about with though. Get an engineer out to take a look, it could be just as simple as refitting the probe.
