HELP bt and sky talk messing me about

Hi all,
I am in dire need of some advice.
Moved into our current house in May 2008, took out bt and sky talk in the same month.

Paid bt line rental ans sky talk bills every month up untill nov 08 when we received a bill from bt for calls.

Bt had somehow snatched us back and ever since i have been trying to get back with sky talk for my calls.

Sky keep putting the request through to them, but BT keep refusing it saying that my phone number and postcode do not match. I have rang both companies to check my address details and both have them down correct.

The 6th request was sent on friday to BT to put my calls with them, i am not holding my breath for it to happen!

Where do i stand and what can i do?

Since this mistake, i have had bills coming in from BT for over 300 pound so far since Nov.
When i was with skytalk i paid them 5 pound a month and that included all the calls i needed to make (including australia which is why bt is so high).

All the bt bills have been paid, but last month was a struggle so they cut us off. Once i paid it last week they then informend me i will have a 11 pound re connection charge on next months bill!

I am so mad with bt, my bills have never been more then a tenner each month when i was with sky (for the odd mobile call)

Can i claim any of the bill oney i have paid them back since they keep refusing to let me go back to sky?

any help appreciated!

That's ridiculous. You've got to go to the top now.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

I may be wrong but if you signed up with BT in May 08 you will have signed up for line and calls, your contract will be for 12 months for both so they will not asign the calls over to sky till your contract expires in May 09
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

You can use any CPS calls provider on a BT line from Day 1.

In any case, it was working from May to November.
