    Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator machine!

Basically install a battery, and attach electrodes to either side of your spine. It then zaps your spine with electricity in pulses disrupting the transmission of pain to the brain.

Very effective during child birth or for "trapped nerve" type pains.

  • Eve,

Thanks for passing on the great deal. Could really do with one of those. But which Lloyds Pharamcy did you get it from, do you know if it is in all of them or just in certain areas. I'm from portsmouth area.

And if you watch "BRANIAC-SCIENCE ABUSE" on SKY, very funny if remotely controlled and you are trying any of the following:

    a romantic meal
    throwing darts
    teaching
mixing a cocktail etc etc etc

I hired one for my first labour for about £20 so this is a good deal. That said when I finally went into labour I found it annoying and did nothing for the pain so it was promptly thrown at DH! LOL!

  • I've just rung my local Lloyds Pharmacy in Stourbridge and they confirm they have some in stock and are selling them for £9.99. It's a very small shop (about as wide as a hallway and just a bit longer than a car) so, if they still have some (15 sold already) they all should.

My mother has had a very bad back since New Years Day. She fractured a little bone in her spine. Has anyone found that they do get pain relief from these? If so, I;ll buy her one.
