Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 50 - Post your finds here

Only a small shop in Boots today. More details on that later.

I got back to Mum's and was sorting out our purchases from various stores. I suddenly realised that my AC was missing. I'd used it in Boots this afternoon.

I found the branch phone number from my receipts and called them. The kind SA went to see if the card had been handed in. There was no sign of it and the young SA who served me had gone home. All she could suggest was to phone CS and report missing card.

I tried calling from Mum's but the automated service couldn't find my details :eek:

I came home to cancel the card online but couldn't find the right section. So tried phoning again, but got very confused. The voice system doesn't like scottish accents.

Eventually I went via "My Account" and found the section there to report missing card. It was dead easy once I found the right part.

My reason for worrying about the card was the £40+ that was in points on it.

I don't remember the SA giving me the card back after I paid, and didn't remember to take it out of machine myself. So someone might have taken it and spent my points.

So now it's cancelled I'll need to use a temporary one from the store until my new one comes. Luckily there isn't anything of much interest on the ACM or I could be missing lots of bargains.

Hi, i used the very same self service tills to get the Extracts Cocoa Butter Body Wash and both vouchers worked with no beeps at all. Not sure what happened with your body wash-was it definately fron the new range?..xx

OOooooh, maybe....(lol!) It was Colchester, which is not my local, but I "go forth and boots", whenever I am able to........
I was very pleased to have found a bargain, as you often miss all the good clearance in non local stores...well I do...
usually I need bargain corner sat nav...not today though .

Hope this helps any local bootsters though.
There were at least 100 No7 gwp's on display, above the No7 counter... so boots need/ want to clear them.
I think this explains the perkie being given out so soon after the last No7 voucher.

Hi VQ just to say that I printed out added on vouchers from the ACM which was £2.50 off No7 Suncare and 100 points WYB something else (cant remember now and they are in the bin as they ran out Tuesday the 24th) but these were definitely not on the ACM at the last changeover day. If I remember correctly it was round about the time the Perkie was being given out with the Wrinklie last week. HTH

I am only new to this as well but I gather it's the same for the full 4 weeks so no hurrying out to Boots for me in the next few days lol x ( 3½ more weeks )

Quite depressed now! after last weeks wrinklies, hairies & early Purkies
and lots of Boots shopping I now have 8 Purkies sitting in my brag book and have walked out of Boots EMPTY HANDED 3 times since wednesday.

Come on Mr B treat us to something nice, my local has never had a GWP except the current No7 with min spend of £18 do they never get any others or are they stashed away for staff?

Hi again also to say that the vouchers I have printed out since the changeover all have different expiry dates on them. Not sure if this means anything tho but usually they all expire on the same day IE the day before the next changeover (except the extra points WYS xx amount. They are usually only valid the same day that you print them) HTH

Forgot to say earler but did what you suggested at the AC machine (going into all offers, then bathroom etc) and it let me print off more vouchers-not great this time around, as you said, but could def prove useful in the future so THANK YOU! :T

Hi voucher queen :hello:

The items had a reduced sticker with a barcode and price on them.
The No7 SA, scanned both the reduced priced barcode and the item barcode.
I think that the perkie works only if the items are scanned in this manner, if the reduced price is manually entered, but the item itself is not scanned, then the fact that the items are from the No7 range,
is not recognised by the till AFAIK.
Other bootsters may know more about this than I do though.

Lovely bargains for 20p though...and thanks to minimoneyme...I got a free bar of chocolate from body shop with my voucher.

Re the ACM vouchers:
The ACM only started printing out the £5 off P&P a week or so before the offers/ ACM vouchers changed.
It was the same with the £2.50 off No7 self tan items and the Gillette 150 points seemed to arrive towards the end too.
So, we may get a few interesting/ more useful ACM vouchers sooner than we think.
