Have not seen any in store, or advertised, in the following stores over last 10 days or so:
None of the Norwich stores - well 4 most central ones!
Lynn,
Wisbech
Downham Market
Holbeach
Spalding
Ely
March
East Dereham
Thetford
Not been to Peterborough for a while, so maybe better luck there? HTH0 -
Has anyone been to the YORK store? Any bargains there? I'm off to YORK tomorrow. Might pop in. Not sure.
Got enough ACM Gilette things now. Thanks for the pm's ladies.
OFF TOPIC: Dad is getting better now. He had a few horrible days, but seems to be making progress now. Thanks for all the pm's and prayers. You lot are the lovelies bunch of ladies ever.
Hi Mimi,
Hope you and your dad are doing well. I don't post often but do if i can help. I'm in York and the little shop near Fenwicks is the best one! A huge clearance just as you go in on the left and lots of gillette stuff on it last time i was in. Main store too has a fair bit of clearance dotted around. All SA's lovely too in both!! Also there is a tiny store at the other end of town if you fancy a proper bootsing trip!! HTH J xxx
Edit - Sandra i think you are great!! Have just been reading backwards!! What a horrible SA!! You make this board what it is!! Its a total tribute to you as to the dignity in which you dealt with it and moved on - I think i would have lost it!! xx0 -

I went to York on monday, I couldn't find any clearance in the main store but they were accepting s&g vouchers.0 -
In the main store the clearance is right next to the main tills and the SS, lots of model me i think. Also they had a display beside the ACM at the back towards the photo stuff with things on that could be used with a wrinkle. That was tuesday so it could have been just put out then?

That's the great mystery - no-one knows! There is no logic to it, it's like a boots lucky dip! Some people who've queried it have been told it's becoause they don't build up enough points on their card, or because they don't buy enough in boots (the flaw in this argument being that some of the people who've been told that have had the higest points totals known to man and shop in boots every day!)
If your other half or child or parent or whoever doesn't have a boots card already it might be worth getting one in their name to see if you have better luck with that. Generally, although the ACM vouchers have your name printed on them, the SAs don't check that the ACM voucher and the name on the boots card match, particularly if you put your boots card in the chip&pin machine yourself instead of handing it over to the SA.
I'm going bootsing tomorrow, first time in ages. I've got my list written, and I've borrowed my mam's boots card as well so that I can see what ACM vouchers she has. Even better, when I asked if I could borrow her card she pulled it out of her purse alongside a wrinklie/hairy and said 'oh, you might as well have this also, I don't even know if it's still in date'!
Wish me luck for tomorrow ladies, I'll be back to post my bargains when I'm finished shopping. Now, how many boots stores in one day is reasonable?

Try another machine, even in the same shop. I had a shock recently when that's all I was being offered but the next manchine was v generous.
What I'd really like to know is how to get mailings. I used to get them regularly (but before I met this site and learned how to use them well!) until I lost my card & they replaced it. (No loss of points, thank goodness.) Have updated details on the web, but no joy. Am now considering saying I don't want mailings and waiting a bit and then re-joining the mailing list. Has anyone tried this? Or managed to start getting mailings? I am soooo jealous of all these nice coupons everyone else is getting!0 -
Any deals in Norfolk?
In Lynn the other day and noticed that reduced section not reappeared, so wondering if worth a trip over tomorrow, or better to head down to Ely and maybe take in March as well. As will have my 2 little darlings with me would welcome any tips, to ensure I at least pick up a perkie as not seen any yet - not received in Thetford or Wisbech when asked yesterday
Thanks so much.0 -
I went shopping in cardiff today. Had been looking forward to it all week, a change is as good as a rest (so they say!!).
Well not that sucessfull, had a stinking cold and although I'd managed to leave DS with OH I still had DD1,2 & 3 with me. Unfortunately after about 30 mins walking round in circles in Boots they all got a bit fed up!!
Managed to get 3 NC cupcake flannels for DD birthday party bags also got P&p serum + gwp minus £5 acm and perkie and 250 point gwp voucher. Did that twice.
saw loads of reduced no7 but didnt realise at the time I could use perkie.
Didnt get anything in the bay, didnt see any bargains or clearance.
I think sometimes the grass always looks greener, and I need to learn to be happy with my local storesnow has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -

I'll buy 3 for 2 Sumptuous Bath Soak, get a GWP, pay with a Perkie, 100 points ACM, 250 points with previous GWP = £14.04 less £5, with 350 points = £5.54 (in Boots logic) for all 3, plus a GWP, and get a Perkie.
Then I thought again.I have 3 x 100 points, 3 x 250 points, and 3 Perkies. So, if I bought each item separately, I would pay £7.02 for each one, less a Perkie, hand over 100 points, plus 250 points, so in Boots logic, each one would cost me minus £1.48!
So I'd be "paying" minus £4.44, and though I wouldn't have a Perkie, we all know they breed like rabbits! :j And I already have loads of GWPs to distribute!
Have decided to ditch my super-duper use-every-voucher including the over £25 one plan. It doesn't work. Remembered now that when I tried to use it, and everything else yesterday, it wouldn't go through and it says in weeny letters "not to be used in conjunction with any other voucher".
So it's fine if you want one item for £25, and don't have any other vouchers (as if that would apply to any of us! :rotfl: ) but if you want several items to reach your total, it's better having small shops, so that you get the Perkie, the Wrinklie and the Hairy every time.
Has anyone used the SS tills and received a t/s that can be used in conjunction with a Perkie please?
DH and I had a super 2 for 1 lunch at Prezzos, and he now wants to have a ride on the DLR tomorrow, so he can see "what they're spending my extra Council Tax money on, at the Olympic site" - he gets very cross about this, and shouts at the TV 'You stupid bunch of bankers!"
Well. I'm already planning a 2 for 1 GBK lunch, and a trip to both branches of Boots!!
xx
Hiya Sandra
Yes we are becoming Carol Vordermans
I love the sums bit in maths, it really gets my brain working, + I used to love maths when I was at school as well, even my maths teacher I had said I should become a maths teacher, but I didn't.
The bootsing game helps to keep it up.
I am off bootsing tomorrow, to buy my list I posted yesterday for other people to get + I hope it all goes well.
I will be reporting back what I buy.
On my boots logic
I would have to spend £5 on other things to get the perkie to put with the £5 acm to get the hand cream free, but if i buy a hand cream with another NO7 item then I will be getting another GWP as well.. paying £8.50 odd ish but getting 250 points back in boots logic = £6 + getting the blinkies n perkies for my next transactions of the same items, til I use my last acm £5 P+P + get the hand cream freeeeeeeee
