I've been shopping for a prom dress today with my daughter and we had tears!!
my daughter is just about a size 6 and the "prom dress" shop nearest to us (Gloucester) had some lovely dresses but swamped her. They can order any size and a range of colours but it's hard to imagine what a dress can look like.
We tried T K Maxx but to be honest very poor choice there.
Also tried Monsoon but nothing for us there.
She tried on two size 6 dresses in Debenhams that almost fitted but there is the danger that a few girls might have the same dress.
Oh well only the first day of looking but I am feeling stressed already.2013
Necklace, £500, Marquee, Tickets Home Improv show, Patternity Tights.tickets to Cruise Show, kindle cover, 2 tickets Brisfest. Tin of personalised chocolates.Hawking DVD, McCain voucher, clay modelling set,Chocolate, Book,Raleigh 125th Book.

as someone else has said, House of Fraser have a good selection. My daughter got hers at Warehouse reduced because so many sequins had fallen off - so we took off the rest of the row and it looked great.0

Hi, I'm looking for a dress that looks something similar to this. I'm around 5' or 5'1 and am a size 12. I'm not really fussed about the length as long as it's not too long for me[i.e trawling along the ground] or so short I look like a tart.
I'm open to suggestions about the colour too. The only thing I really want is that style neckline.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
p.s. apologies for the rubbish paint drawing, I can assure you that I want a dress that fits, and I'm not usually so lopsided :PUndergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -

If you have enough time maybe you could consider these made to measure dresses, generally the reviews seem really good

Ya definitely its the right time to purchase the prom. The stock will run out. So its better to order one now. The proms are available in different styles, fabrics. Its better to have them at discount stores or can go online foe proms under 100$.

So I found the "nearly perfect" dress!

It's about halfway through the video[yay Rent!] and is the red dress the character Maureen [idina menzel] is wearing. I'm not all that sure about the frillyness but it's pretty anyway.
Anyone got any ideas of anything similar?Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0
