Choices, choices!! But good ones though.

I'm leaning towards Thai at present. The comfort of having lounge with CX would be nice, but its going to make the flight a bit longer.

Seat pitch not too much of a problem, i'm not that tall. Also with CX, because of my One Word status, it is much easier for me to bag a bulkhead seat.

Sorry just throw another option in. Try flying from London City - to a big European hub - Germany Holland (even Denmark) Gives you loads of options and a 15 min check in time and it is great when you come back takes about 5 mins to get out

Looked into that. TG have a special fare from Munich for €388 all in, however with the flights to Munich the savings are not that great.

I've noticed EK have a fare for £438. The beauty of that fare is that it is ex-LGW and they offer an evening flight. This would mean I could get an early evening flight to LGW (from Jersey) and then get on the EK flight. This would mean one extra night in Thailand. One problem with this flight is that the layover in Dubai is a few hours both ways (BTW I've been to Dubai a few times, so am aware the airport is not too bad at all).

Its just another option out there to consider I guess.

Just an update. Opted for EK for £438. While the stopovers are a few hours in Dubai it means I can fly in and out of Gatwick (which is perfect for me as I have to fly in from Jersey).
