Not just a non delivery, this is a M+S non delivery

Options
: (

Ordered some flowers and chocolate for my better half, for valentines day, from Marks and Spencer's on thursday am. Total outlay just under 50 quid

The flowers arrived fine Saturday morning, however no chocolates! Stayed in most the day anyway and no chocolate (and trust me, my wife would have appreciated the chocolate a damn site more than the flowers!)

Checked on line and it shows the order being delivered separately, that's fine and understandable. There is a tracking option for the flowers but none for the chocolates

Now i'm sure the chocs will arrive finally but that's not really the point (after all DW will eat them anyway!!!). The chocs were for valentines day and when they arrive it won't be that day.

Is it worth firing off a complaint email?

I bought Freda a Mars bar and did a simple Crispy Chicken with stir fry vegetables in black bean sauce and egg fried rice. Total outlay about £5.00

Freda quite happy. Probably do the some Korma next Saturday!

  • Freda quite happy.

That's what they say....... but it's never what they mean

Tsk! you should know that by now

  • she was probably happy enough as she would have spent the day going round supermarket carparks nicking other peoples chocolates ;)
  • Did the M and S website state guarenteed delivery of choclates on the 14th? I can almost guarentee it didnt and you should have ordered earlier if you wanted to ensure they arrive.

    Your point being?
  • The mars bar probably just wetted her appetite - wise move on your side

You can choose a delivery date and i choose the 14th. I ordered thursday morning, well before the given cut off time of 1700 thursday.

However, as of yesterday there was still no choclates so I sent a brusque email asking where the hell they were.

To which i received a reply stating that I should have not been able to order the chocs at all (in conjunction with offer, despite the fact it was offered in conjunction with the flowers and they sent me a dispatch note). As an apology they have given me a 10 quid on line voucher and the price of the chocs.

My other half is now on line at home choosing what to buy... she also has my credit card.

    I'm scared

Chocolates not arriving is fate saying it will make her fat!!!

I wish your DW a very pleasant time with your credit card online! I bet she's pleased the chocolates didn't turn up!!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
