Washng Machine, hose outlet problem

It is plumbed in ok, then I go under the sink to check the hose is safely in place too. Now the hose is just not attached to anything,there is a 'spigot ' on the trap. But the part that is a small tube on the right is sealed? Please click on link to see the picture as this is exactly what I have under my sink! It is a little way down to the Spigot on the trap photo!

I must admit I just can't do diy, so can anyone help with this? I moved into a new place and was left a newish washing machine, that's good I think.

If you remove the spigot there is a blanking disk you remove and discard, then replace the spigot and connect your hose from your washer. If the spigot is blanked of at the end it just needs the end trimming off then connect your hose. Once you have opend up the spigot make sure the hose is connected before running water down the sink has it could leak out.0 -

Thanks for that information, can I ask one more thing:rolleyes: What size jubilee clip would I use? Not well up on metric things either!0 -
would use a 1/2 inch to 3/4 there is room for adjustment then.0
