If you delete the internet history from your computer, is it possible for someone to reinstate it?

Like all things computer based, it will never be completely deleted and if someone with enough 'nouse' got at it, then im sure they could probably revive the data. As for your average computer user though, I think its highly unlikely that they would be able to resurrect it.
Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong though.0 -

Thanks Guys
The reason I ask is that I clear my history using the tools-delete browsing history-delete everything option but occasionally, the day after the drop down menu is showing webs that I visited the day previous but not when I've checked after deleting.
