First stooze, thanks for all the help

I have just been brave enough to try my first stooze after all the advice given to me on here. I have a new Alliance and Leicester card and rang to activate it and they asked me if I wanted to balance transfer. I asked if I could put money into my current account and, surprisingly, they said ok. The fee is the same as for transfers from other credit cards..ie £50 max. So that's it now ,there is no stopping me, Halifax card next. thanks again I could never have done it without all your help.

Good luck sashacat ... just make sure you read the Ts & Cs inside out, note all minimum payments dates, the intro period end date etc etc. :)

  • I like the idea of this stoozing however am still shy of this I think I need a little more confidence in my credit rating before I risk it. The concept sounds simple, I get a CC with 0% balance transfer and transfer balance to a savings account and then at the end of the 0% period move the money back to the CC and you keep the savings!

  • Or you can move the outstanding balance to another 0% and keep going. But there is more to consider, including BT fees, ensuring monthly minimum repayments, can you access the funds from you savings at the end of the offer incase you cant get another 0% deal etc etc. Read the links first and ask any questions before you rush in.
Oh and just saw your signature, wait until you're debt free, therefore gives you a couple of months to read up on stoozing.
