Splitting a package.Allowed?

Going through some hol. brochures today. The last one for a while I think.Seen a couple of destinations but the flight times are crazy, especially UK arrival-1 or 2 am  .If I find a budget flight with friendlier times, can I book a package(for the protection) but not take their flights,or take their outbound but not the return.Obviously,I wouldn't delay the flight by being a no show because I would inform them.Just wondering.

  • Why not just book no frills flights and direct with the hotel? If you use a credit card and it's over £100 you will be covered.

    Where are you going?
