Computershare Share Certificates URGENT

This morning my daughter received a share certificate from Computershare for 2396 Rolls-Royce shares - lucky her, an £8000 pound note with her name on it. The problem is that they are not her shares, they are mine.
My RR sharesave plan recently completed, so HBOS sent me a letter asking what I wanted to do. I said I wanted the certificate.
How many more certificates have Computershare sent out to the wrong person? Luckily my daughter still lives at home so we've discovered Computershare's error very quickly, but if you are expecting a RR share certificate from the 2001 7 year sharesave and it hasn't arrived today, be very worried.

Did it have her name on it? I don't really see how that could happen tbh.:rotfl:0

I've seen this happen once before - is she one of your nominated beneficiaries if you die/died in service? The person I'm aware of had theirs issued to their beneficiary due to a clear screw up.
Speak to Computershare or your HR dept, if you still work there.Mmmm, credit crunch. Tasty.0 -
You need to check with the people that gave Computershare the information which is either HR or the plan manager which in this case I'm guessing is HBOS? Someone got the information from somewhere.:rotfl:0

Thanks for the replies, sorry I didn't get back to you earlier.
Yes, the certificate has my daughter's name on it and her RR shareholder reference number. She's worked at RR for just over a year, but this share release was from the 2001 sharesave.
I mistakenly thought that she had joined the latest sharesave, but she hasn't, so there is no way that HBoS could get it wrong as they don't know of her existence, it is definitely Computershare (noting that my daughter has a RR SRN because she has had some bonus shares, which are registered with Computershare).
Computershare have yet to respond to my e-mail and initial letter.
My wife is my only nominated beneficiary.

All seems very strange. When did you contact them?:rotfl:0

This has now been sorted somewhat quicker than I was expecting (but not quick enough to stop me losing £1200 in share value compared to if I could have sold them when my certificate should have arrived).
A letter arrived from Computershare yesterday containing my share certificate and blaming an administrative error. The letter also said that my case was being treated as a formal complaint, and as such a copy of their complaint handling procedures was enclosed, and also asked me to return my daughter's certificate via an enclosed pre-paid envelope. Unfortunately, neither of these was actually enclosed. Never mind, it's the thought that counts.
All I need now is for the share price to double!!
