**SOON TO BE MARKET LEADING CASH ISA**
OK Decided to join this site for now. So as this is my first post I thought I
would give you all some inside info!!
Barclays Will be announicng yet another Market Leading Rate on their new Cash ISa account. (From reliable source)
Naturally I don't know what the new rate will be but I am sure it will be the market leader again this year and will be available to open for the 2008/09 tax year and then can top up for the new 2009/10 Tax Year!!
The process for new customers to open wil be very easy as the isa's will be able to be opened in branch!! Rates should be announced start of March sometime (Date TBC)
So watch out for advertising on this one!!

Maybe, it is really depend on whatever the ISA have a branch in my local town, Poole. I will not put it in online website or offshore bank so it is quite limited. Also, if it accept transfer as well from my old ISA in case of changing ISA.0

Well I know there were some problems last couple of years due to itbeing the most popular isa around and a couple of million getting opened up.
But now the ISA will be opened in branch on that day and you will be given your account number there and then.0 -
Still doesn't mean its going to go well.... lol
Wait for the system to crash because of all the account openings!

Last years Tax Haven ISA did not allow transfers so i wouldnt expect this one too either, i will open a new ISA with Barclays if its a decent rate tho...only took 6 weeks to open this yrs!

Just moved my tax haven money to a better rate anyway so not worried bout that anymore!Credit Card 6.9% - £0/£2800

Pay off as much as you can 2012 #690 -
I applied for one in June last year. Never heard anything but never chased it either. Will watch this with interest (no pun intended)!0

Thanks for the information I will look out for this.
Let's hope this one doesn't fall by 3.9% in its first 10 months like last year's (though many other market leading accounts fell by similar amounts of course...).
Yes I'll definitely shop around. The Barclays Tax Haven ISA I have at the moment will only earn 1.61% once the introductory bonus runs out, I'd feel robbed if I left money in there earning so little interest if I can get 3%+ elsewhere. Most of my cash is in 2 ISAs (different tax years of course) not earning a lot at the moment so I am hoping to find as good a deal as possible.0 -
Well, they c0cked up mightly the last two years as threads on here will testify. Once the bonus is up it's not worth keeping open for the second year as a better rate can be found elsewhere so I've transferred mine.
When I opened this year's Tax Haven ISA I asked the adviser if there would be as many problems as last year. He assured me that they'd learnt by their mistake of the previous year, had more staff in place to cope and that there would definitely be no problems. Ha Ha. People's experiences recounted on here tell differently.
A lot of us have said "Never again", whatever the rate.0
