Hi, we are having a new kitchen fitted and are having a fake granite work tops, they are not very shiney, is there any chip free varnish or laquer that can be used to bring them up to a shine but wont mark easy?

my step mum used to put a bit of baby oil on a bit of kitchen roll and then wipe it across, this makes it easy to wipe up spills aswell but obviously you have to reapply after using the surfaceWell we finally did it got a house not on a main road, next a railway line or any other werid and wonderful things that get on my nerves!!!
